Civil Servants Together is an online community of civil servants and their families, working together to share skills, time and support.
One of the Charity’s missions is to build an engaged and active community, with lifelong relationships of mutual help and support. This project looks at exploring the concept of an online civil service community exchange which would enable current and former civil servants to request or offer help to each other, as and when it is needed.
A community exchange is a way for people to exchange skills or services within a community. Participants receive credits when they give their time to help or support another person with a service or skill. They can then exchange this credit at a later time for another members’ time for a service or skill. This sort of exchange can also be known as time-banking.
